Beckwithshaw Saints U9 Girls progressed through the Quarter Finals of the Harrogate & Craven Junior Girls Football League Shield with a tough fought 2-1 win at Skipton Juniors FC U9s on Saturday.

Martha B gave Beckwithshaw the lead in the first half but Skipton levelled in the second half before Holly scored the winner for the Saints with less than 5 minutes left on the clock.

Manager Scott was delighted with the team performance and result "Martin and I are very proud of the huge effort put in by all of the girls on a muddy pitch against competitive opposition. They are very much looking forward to the Semi Final!"

The draw for the Semi Final will be announced next week.
