BSJFC U16 Whites, under Manager Kevin Court, are on track for a second cup win on the bounce. This Saturday, they hosted Harrogate Railway at Rossett in the Semi-Final of the Hambleton League Cup... a trophy they currently hold from last year and have no intention of relinquishing.

Saturday's match was all one way. Our U16 Whites dominated the game from the first whistle to the last. Goals from Lewis Court, Wilf Barrett, Olly Atkinson and Sammy Thomas secured this convincing win and their passage to the Final.

Manager, Kevin, was ecstatic “We were all fired up for this fixture, and it showed from the start. We were dominant in all areas and gave them very little opportunity to get any foothold in the game. We deserved the win as it proves that the hard work that the lads are putting in is really paying off.

We played how we have all season, we were well organised, solid in all areas and scored some excellent goals coming from great passages of play. If we play like this we are certainly hard to beat. I am so proud to be part of this team and hope to see them take the victory in the final, they truly deserve it!”

Bizarre Footie Factoid

Rewind the clock to 2025 and, uncannily - same as this year – Kev's lad's beat Pannal Sports in the Quarters and Railway in the Semis... and guess who they now face in the Final? Yup - Ripon City, who they beat on penalties after 3-3 at FT. You couldn't make it up!

The Hambleton League Cup Final will be played at Bedale on Saturday 9th of May. Bring them on!
