The BSJFC U8s battled through the rain in Sunday's Killinghall 6-a-side Tournament and got an unexpected ray of sunshine in the form of ex-Man City and England right back, Micah Richards.

Our boys faced teams including Silsden, Killinghall Pythons and Wigton Warriors. In tough conditions for all sides, our U8s came away with a highly commendable 3 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw.

Manager Robin was delighted with the surprise superstar appearance "Great to see a Premier League winner and England international being so gracious with his time at the Killinghall tournament, especially considering all of the photo and autograph requests."

Mason's mum Denise added "Great job today - some good wins, great goals and lots of heart! Thanks again to the coaches for bringing out the best in the team."
